LUZ MUERTA x OPHELIA

Ophelia falls victim to Hamlet's strange behavior and destiny. She loves the gloomy, fascinating prince of Denmark, who mourns for his late father, the king. But when Hamlet abruptly shuns her, Ophelia seems to to wake from a dream of passionate love.

In this modernized version of the tale created for Luz Muerta's new collection, every character is female-identifying, in opposition to Shakespearian tradition, where the female characters were played by men. By following the story through Ophelia's perspective, Hamlet becomes a tale of desire and heartbreak; not death but rebirth.
